Korea, UK to Jointly Test T-DMB Services

Korea and the UK have announced a joint T-DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) service test plan, which will last for two years, and which will start in April 2006. The trial will run on the UK's existing DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) infrastructure while also using Korea's T-DMB technology. In addition, Korea will conduct a T-DMB test in France from December 2005 to April 2006. The same test will be held in Germany's Regensburg in January 2006, in order to gain acceptance for T-DMB services during the soccer World Cup in Germany in June 2006.
